Scott received rave reviews for his starring role in AppleTV+’s “Severance,” opposite Patricia Arquette, John Turturro and Christopher Walken. The series, for which Scott is also a producer, is directed by Ben Stiller and created by Dan Erickson. For his role, Scott received an Emmy nomination for “Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series,” a Screen Actors Guild Award for “Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series,” a Golden Globe Award nomination for “Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Drama,” a Film Independent Spirit Award nomination for “Best Lead Performance in a New Scripted Series” and a Critics Choice Award nomination for “Best Actor in a Drama Series.” The series also received an Emmy nomination the same year for “Outstanding Drama Series,” a Gotham Award nomination for “Breakthrough Series – Long Format,” a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination for “Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series,” a Golden Globe Award nomination for “Best Television Series,” a Critics Choice Award nomination for “Best Drama Series,” and was chosen as one of the AFI Awards “Top TV Programs of the Year.” Season 2 is set to premiere on January 17, 2025.
