Miguelanxo Prado, author of Traço de Giz, one of the most awarded works of contemporary comics (published in Brazil by Pipoca e Nanquim), develops his creative work as a painter, illustrator, scriptwriter, illustrator for newspapers and magazines and, especially, author of comic books. Among his books, it is worth mentioning other titles such as Tangências, Manuel Montano and O Pacto da Letargia, his latest comic book to date, all three published by Conrad. And also one of his most awarded comics is Ardalén (National Prize, Specialized Critics Prize, best book of the year award at the Barcelona Comics Fair, prize at the Úbeda and Baeza festival, Expocómic Madrid, or Zona Cómic, among others). Miguelanxo has also received twice the award for best translated work at the F.I.B.D. in Angoulême and has won six awards at the Barcelona Salon. He has collaborated as an illustrator with writers such as Laura Esquivel (A Lei do Amor), Gonzalo Torrente Ballester (The Mermaid's Tale) or Manuel Rivas (Christmas Stories, The Tongue of the Bulbuls). In the audiovisual field, among other works, he is the character creator and style director of the Men in Black cartoon series, and the creator and director of the animated feature film De Profundis, in collaboration with the musician Nani García.
