Rahul Purini
Rahul Purini has been President of Crunchyroll since May 2022, after serving as Chief Operating Officer for several years. He leads the global strategic direction of Crunchyroll, which has surpassed 12 million global subscribers, secured global theatrical rights to the film Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO (August 2022), and distributed Makoto Shinkai’s Golden Globe-nominated film Suzume. He has launched anime dubs in five new languages, brought anime music to the platform, acquired retailer Right Stuf, and developed distribution deals in the U.S. Previously, at Funimation, he led strategic operations, production studios, and content programming. Purini has nearly 25 years of experience in emerging technologies. He holds a degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Sri Venkateswara University and resides in Dallas.
