

Paulo Cursino
Paulo Cursino is a filmmaker and screenwriter with over 30 years of experience, recognized as the author of the biggest box office hits of the Brazilian cinema revival. His films have attracted over 35 million viewers to theaters in Brazil and abroad.
He began his career at TV Globo, where he was part of successful teams on comedy shows and series such as "Sai de Baixo," "Under New Direction," "A Grande Família," and "Os Caras de Pau." In film, he is responsible for acclaimed franchises such as "De Pernas pro Ar," "Till Luck Do Us Part," "O Candidato Honesto," and "Os Farofeiros," as well as award-winning comedies such as "Divorce," named the best comedy of 2017 by the Brazilian Film Academy.
In 2020, he debuted on streaming with ""Tudo Bem no Natal que Vem,"" one of Netflix's five most successful Brazilian films, which inspired a Mexican remake. His most recent works include Mussum, o Filmis—winner of six Kikitos at the 2023 Gramado Film Festival, including Best Film and the Popular Jury Prize—and Os Farofeiros 2, the first Brazilian comedy to surpass one million viewers in the post-pandemic recovery.
For 2025, he is preparing the release of Silvio Santos Vem Aí, a comedy-drama inspired by the TV host's career, and in 2026 he will return to theaters with Os Farofeiros 3 and the drama Crisálida.
