

Rui Alves
Rui Alves de Souza Júnior was elected to his first term as a state representative for the Republicanos party in São Paulo in the 2022 elections with 91,717 votes and has been the municipal secretary of Tourism since June 2024. He was born on August 25, 1967, in Campo Grande (MS). Married to Shirlei Alves for 22 years, he has 3 children and 6 grandchildren. In one year and 4 months of his term in the Alesp (Legislative Assembly of the State of São Paulo), he proposed 15 Bills, held two public hearings and one Solemn Session. In his parliamentary work, he traveled to several cities in the State of São Paulo, learning about local demands and realities, an action that qualifies him to continue the management of Tourism in the capital of São Paulo and further develop the portfolio for the benefit of the people of São Paulo.
He has been serving as a pastor in missionary work for 29 years. He has worked in the states of Mato Grosso do Sul, Amazonas, Paraíba and has been in São Paulo for 7 years. He carried out social work in every state he lived in.
