Mateus Santolouco is a Brazilian comic book artist best known for his work on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles by IDW Publishing. He was one of the main artists responsible for defining the tone of the series, contributing scripts, illustrations, and character designs from 2011 to the present. Mateus has worked with most major publishers in the United States, including DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Image Comics, Boom Studios, and Dark Horse. His designs and artwork for the Turtles have become some of the franchise’s most iconic visuals, inspiring toys such as The Loyal Subjects action figure line and collectible statues from Fariboles, both signed by the artist, as well as video games like TMNT: Mutants in Manhattan by Activision and TMNT: Splintered Fate by Super Evil Megacorp. Among fans’ favorite works are TMNT: Secret History of the Foot Clan and TMNT: Shredder in Hell, both written and illustrated by Santolouco. The artist’s appearance is part of a partnership between CCXP and the publisher Pipoca & Nanquim.
