Howard Chaykin

Howard Victor Chaykin is a longtime and highly prolific veteran of the American comic book industry. As a cartoonist — writing and drawing — he has been a major influence on the direction of comics and is often cited as one of the architects of the modern comic book. His signature creation, American Flagg!, introduced new narrative complexity and groundbreaking visual design. In the 1980s, he produced works such as Black Kiss, Time² and The Shadow. With a career spanning over five decades, he remains active and provocative. The artist’s presence at CCXP26 is a partnership with Mythos Editora.
